NPC sensor lineup comprises both digital and analog type temperature sensors and temperature switches, providing a range of temperature measurement and management in multiple applications. Common use of a temperature switch is to switch off equipment or lower power when excessive heat is generated; temperature sensors are useful in measurement or for temperature control. These are all very small packages which can be mounted close to a heat source or on the head of a disk drive arm to measure laser diode temperatures.
